Church of Christ

We are a diverse and eclectic group of people at various places on our spiritual journey. We come from a wide range of countries, experiences, family structure, orientations, and backgrounds. We are adjusting to the changes that time thrusts upon us. We come together because we have found a community of support and strength, welcome and love.

Special Services and Sacraments

  • Baptism

Baptism is performed during Sunday worship. The United Church of Christ welcomes and encourages baptism of all ages including infants. Contact the church office for more information and to talk with our minister.

  • Confirmation

The Service of Confirmation usually takes place in the spring when there are eligible youths. Through classes taught by adult leaders and participating in church llife, Confirmands go through a discernment process to decide if they are ready to confirm their faith and become full adult members of the church in the service of confirmation.

  • Marriage

Our minister will be happy to talk with couples who wish to be married at Bethesda UCC. We are an “Open and Affirming” church. We welcome people of every race, language, age, gender, ethnicity, economic status, mental or physical ability, and sexual orientation into the full life and ministry of the church. Please contact the church office for more information or to schedule a time to speak with our minister.

  • Memorial and Funeral Services

Memorial and funeral services are held to celebrate the life those who have gone before us and to give thanks to God, the Creator, and to affirm the hope we share in Jesus Christ. A memorial garden offers a space where ashes are scattered and a memorial brick is placed. Please contact the church office for more information or to speak with our minister.
