Enabling Our Future

Endowment Fund

Our Endowment Fund is small but growing. It is designed to support the long-term financial health of the church. Our Endowment is funded primarily by memorial gifts but anyone can designate a gift at any time.

WAYS TO GIVE

OUTRIGHT GIFT. The simplest way to participate is to make a gift during your lifetime. There are tax advantages for such gifts. Some examples of these gifts are cash, securities, annuities and real property.

BEQUEST BY WILL. This is a simple way to fill the void when you depart by including the Bethesda United Church of Christ Endowment Fund in your will. Such a bequest may have important tax benefits for you.

LIFE INSURANCE. The Bethesda United Church of Christ Endowment Fund can be named the beneficiary of your policy. The premium you pay may be tax deductible.

CREATION OF A TRUST. Trusts, either living or under a will, can be written to cover many situations. They can provide for your financial needs, those of designated others, and eventually pay the principal or income to The Bethesda United Church of Christ Endowment Fund.

LIFE INCOME GIFTS. These provide income for you or designated others during your lifetime. Upon completion of the lifetime, ownership of the gift goes to The Bethesda United Church of Christ Endowment Fund.

HOW TO BEGIN

Your attorney, your financial advisor, the Pastor, or a member of the Endowment Fund Committee can provide further information to help you arrange your gift.  The most useful gifts are unrestricted.
